I understand portrait as a spirit-to-matter event.
The subject becomes conscious of being the center of the universe.
As artist I am aware of the organic oneness between the self and the whole.
My role is to impress the light-energy of that holistic conjuncture into the frame.
Present moment is timeless and eternal.
You are the Totality expressing itSelf as human beingness and presence.
Portrait Photography is revelatory of the infinite facets of God.
The shooting is the darshan experience.
The photo session is an empowerment of your own being-consciousness.

Clara Ibanez G Z Lisson
Born in Spain, living in Miami, USA.
Daughter of contemporary painter Ernest Ibanez Neach.
Starts painting as a little child.
First solo exhibition, she was nine years old. "La Petit Gallerie", Lleida.
Three of her paintings collected by museum Museu Morera, Lleida.
First camera, a Kodak Instamatic 25, before ten years old.
Using an Olympus OM-1, taught herself exposure and composition.
Between age twenty and twenty five, learned B/W chemical darkroom techniques.
Moved to digital photography as soon as digicams and postproduction software became available.
As a spiritual teacher specialized in meditation and nondual traditions,
her works prove her vision that art is a wonderful way for the Whole to find enlightening expression.
Art's mission is to provoke questions, to open one's spirit to a new understanding of reality.
Objects of art work as symbols, metaphors, bearing multiple meanings
in their interaction with the mind experiencing the work.
Art is an instrument for the original inquiry of being
and for the metaphysical systems that pose possible answers.
Art, as resource to awaken transcendental or metaphenomenal intelligence,
is philosophical - friend of wisdom.
Art makes use of phenomena -matter, sensory data-
in order to point beyond it -or prior to it-
to its source.
Photography is a technology consisting of fixating images, as painting is too.
The purpose and intentionality of a photographic work
is what assigns to it the range of its effects.
Documental photography seeks to inform and verify.
Its concern is personal or collective history, past or present.
Advertising photography seeks to sell and promote consumer products.
It's an agent of the market and commerce.
Artistic photography seeks to question and to reveal.
Its ambit is the spirit and philosophy.
As artist, I'm interested in providing a new look of the subjects that comprise our daily world.
I use to say that I only shoot those beings that I love,
in other words, my lens needs to convey a feeling of love to the beholding eye.
My intention is to communicate that feeling and that fascination
to the spectator -the one living my work.
The camera is a Tao, an all-communicational device,
both with penetrating and receiving qualities.
Choice of subject, frame, lights, volumes, forms,
and then the possible modifications of the primary sense of the captured image,
all together comprehends the modus operandi of my artistic work,
with the only aim to bring forth a moving insight-experience
built-in -integral- with the material result of the work.
